Admissions Information
Assessment
Prior to admission into our short-term Respite Care program, a Nurse from our facility will visit you to assist in the completion of an application form and perform an assessment to determine your daily needs and personal preferences. This initial meeting helps us develop a plan of care that reflects your normal daily routine as closely as possible.

Insurance
Our Respite Care services are available for as few as three or as many as thirty days. Exceptions regarding length of stay may also be discussed with our Admissions Coordinator. Since Respite Care is considered a personal choice, it is generally handled on a private pay basis; however, some Long-Term Care Insurance plans do cover the costs associated with care. We recommend that you check with your insurance company to determine what services are included in your particular plan.

Primary Care
While you are a guest in our facility, we offer two choices for your primary care needs:
  1. You may choose one of our highly qualified staff Physicians or Physiatrists to be responsible for your care.
  2. You may choose to have your Primary Care Physician attend to your health needs.
We would be happy to credential your own Physician, if they are interested in tending to your needs at the facility.
Upon Admission
As our guest, you will be staying in a hotel-style suite equipped with local telephone service, cable television, a VCR and an assortment of videos. Other organized activities and spiritual services are available through our Activity Department. In addition, you may be eligible to participate in regularly scheduled therapy programs as prescribed by your Physician.
You will also have the opportunity to choose your meals from our select menu. A Registered Dietician and the Dietary staff will meet with you to identify your food preferences and any special diet that your physician has prescribed.

Visitors
Visitors are welcome and encouraged at our facilities. We have areas available for family gatherings and celebrations, along with more private meeting rooms. Your family and friends are encouraged to visit as often as they like.
