Support Groups offer an opportunity for caregivers
to express their feelings and share coping techniques in a safe, non-judgmental
en vironment. Often, Support Groups aid caregivers by helping them learn more
about Alzheimer’s/dementia and the resources that are available in their
communities.
The following support groups are facilitated by
trained professionals from The McGuire Group in conjunction with Alzheimer's
Association:
The McGuire Group is pleased to announce its
2010 memory care support group schedule.
The support groups are held monthly and are
coordinated by memory care professionals from The McGuire Group in conjunction
with the Alzheimer’s Association of WNY.

The McGuire Group operates secured memory care units at Harris Hill Nursing
Facility in Williamsville and Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda

A Caregiver’s Support Group is held on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30
p.m. at Northgate Health Care Facility, 7264 Nash Road in North Tonawanda.

A General Alzheimer’s Support Group is held on the second Wednesday of the
month at 3 p.m. at Harris Hill Nursing Facility, 2699 Wehrle Drive,
Williamsville.

A Daughter’s Support Group is held on the second Wednesday of the month at 5
p.m. at Harris Hill Nursing Facility, 2699 Wehrle Drive, Williamsville.

A Support Group for the Wives of those with Alzheimer’s or dementia is held on
the third Monday of the month at 5 p.m. at Harris Hill Nursing Facility, 2699
Wehrle Drive in Williamsville.
