Alzheimer’s Association Presents Free Seminar – Sensitivity to the Dementia Experience at Northgate

The McGuire Group’s Northgate Health Care Facility, 7264 Nash Road, North Tonawanda will be hosting a free seminar titled Sensitivity to the Dementia Experience presented by Julia Szprygada from the Alzheimer’s Association, WNY Chapter. The event will be held on Monday, June 26 from 5 pm – 6:30 pm. Food and refreshments will be served at 5 pm, followed by the program from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm. There will be time for questions and tours of the memory CARE Unit afterwards as well.

The seminar will allow participants to gain perspective on the daily challenges facing those with memory loss through the use of interactive props and tools. They will also learn skills and techniques to reduce stress and enhance the quality of life for themselves and their loved ones.
