Garden Gate Resident Eleanor Kosmowski Celebrates 100 Years

Eleanor Kosmowski, a resident at The McGuire Group’s Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, celebrated her 100 birthday with a window visit from her loved ones recently. She was born on August 4, 1920 in Buffalo, NY to Stella and Anthony Kowal.

She married the late Joseph Kosmowski and has two sons, Joseph and Timothy. She also has a daughter-in-law, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Eleanor worked at Sattler’s Department Store and retired from Bank of America. She was a member of Corpus Cristi Church and St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Sloan. She was also a member of a mother’s club. In her spare time she enjoys knitting, crocheting, socializing and playing Bingo.
