Hazel McClintic, a resident at The McGuire Group’s Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, celebrated her 106th birthday at a special party in her honor.
Hazel was born in Buffalo on May 26, 1912. She was married to the late Gene McClintic and worked at Loblaws. During her spare time she enjoyed playing cards, going to the senior center on Broadway, fishing, knitting, gambling and playing BINGO.
When Hazel was born, William Taft was serving as president, a Ford Model T touring car sold for $690, candlestick phones were popular and the Titanic had just sunk.
Hazel has been a resident at Garden Gate since 2014. She enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening and attending activity programs.
