Garden Gate Resident Margaret Seibert Celebrates a Century

Margaret A. Seibert, a resident at The McGuire Group’s Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, celebrated her 100 birthday with family and friends.

Born on October 7, 1919 to Royal and Elanora Dance, she met her husband, the late Albert Seibert, at Lime Lake. The couple resided in Cheektowaga for 63 years. Margaret worked for the Maryvale School district for 20 years and Albert worked for Worthington Corporation for 45 years. They have one son, Gary who resides in Boston, NY. Albert passed away in 1993. 

Margaret has been a resident at Garden Gate Health Care Facility for more than 6 years. She enjoys crocheting, knitting, cooking, entertaining, spending time with friends and watching sports. She was the recipient of a number of sports awards in high school. Margaret is a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Roman Catholic Church.  When asked about her long life, she replied, “I was lucky.” She ate Cheerios and drank one glass of red wine daily.
