The McGuire Group’s five Western New York Facilities are the recipients of the 2019 Eli Pick Facility Leadership Awards presented by the American College of Health Care Administrators, ACHCA.
The award was introduced by one of ACHCA’s most revered leaders, the late Eli Pick, and seeks to identify high-performing skilled nursing facilities and the leaders who make them excel. The award is a distinction of significance, as only 7-percent of the facilities nationwide qualify.
The McGuire Group’s facilities and administrators include: Aaron Polanski at Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg, Patrick McFeely at Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, Thomas Bloomer and Stacy Bastian at Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Williamsville, Terry Collins at Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda and Kirsten Whittemore at Seneca Health Care Center in West Seneca. The McGuire Group’s administrators will accept the awards on behalf of their facilities in March.
The ACHCA’s awards program uses data-driven criteria collected by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, CMS, and includes MDS quality indicators, occupancy information and three years of survey data to identify the top performing facilities.
The McGuire Group facilities offer subacute and outpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, memory care, palliative and hospice care, and respite/short-term care. The facilities continuously receive five-star ratings from the federal government and have finished in the first quintile of NY State’s quality benchmarking pool for 5 out of 5 years.
