BUFFALO, NY – For the past 8 years, the New York State Department of Health has issued a Nursing Home Quality Initiative that evaluates 600 nursing homes in the state based on quality performance. The report ranks facilities by quintile using a variety of components including quality measures, reporting compliance and efficiency in avoiding unnecessary hospitalizations.
The McGuire Group’s 6 New York State facilities are among a short list of facilities state-wide that have achieved the top quintile status for 8 consecutive years, with The McGuire Group being the only multi-facility provider in the state to have achieved this milestone.
Information for the state rankings is calculated and managed by the New York State Department of Health. A consistently high quintile rating is impressive because it highlights a company’s long-term commitment to creating healthier communities and meeting a full spectrum of health care needs.
The McGuire Group’s five local facilities feature more than 950 beds and include: Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg, Brookhaven Health Care Facility in East Patchogue, Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Lancaster, Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda and Seneca Health Care Center in West Seneca.
“Our consistency in achieving the first quintile status is a reflection of the expertise, training and commitment that exists at every level within our facilities,” stated Chief Operating Officer Susan Grigg, RN, BSN, CRRN, LNC, LNHA. “By staying at the forefront of emergent medicine and incorporating evidence-based clinical practices, we’re able to provide the highest quality care for our residents and patients.”
The McGuire Group’s services include subacute and outpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, palliative and hospice care, memory care, in-house dialysis and respite/short-term care. For more information, visit www.mcguiregroup.com.
