The music therapy program at The McGuire Group’s Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg gives residents an opportunity to continue their life-long love of music. Whether through song, playing instruments or simply listening to the music, the program is designed to improve the residents’ overall quality of life while creating a rewarding physical, mental, spiritual and social experience.

Recently resident Martin Boggan, formerly of Orchard Park, performed a number of his favorite hymns for the residents accompanied by Music Therapist Renee Rogers, MM, MT-BC, and music therapy intern Amanda Scranton. Boggan is a retired school teacher and an Air Force veteran who devoted many years to performing with his church choir. By taking part in weekly music therapy sessions, he continues to have opportunities to share his experience, wisdom and gift of music with those at Autumn View.
